We know of Winged Foot, Baltusrol, LACC, Medinah etc.,etc., but how many private member clubs in the so-called Top 100, have more than one course?

Pinehurst CC (8)

Scott,

Pinehurst CC only covers the #1-6 courses.  It's a separate membership for #7 and #8.

Bob -

How about MPCC?  Is it plausible to assume that the Shores will get national recognition when completed?

If the magazines changed their policy and ranked each course individually, Royal Melbourne would feature two courses in the world top 100.

Ranking the composite course is a complete joke anyway.

Sorry, missed the "private" part.  Scratch off all of the public/resort ones I listed.

Brian,

They may have separate memberships, but it's still Pinehurst CC.  They themselves boast of 8 courses, not 6.  Members at 1-6 can still play 7 and 8 for a fee.

Chris Kane,

I agree.  Same goes with The Country Club in Brookline, which is rated as a composite course, or at least it used to.

Taking a quick look through the Golfweek list and a couple I remembered.

Philadelphia CC has an extra 9
Congressional
Champions
Ridgewood
Westchester
John's Island
Lake Las Vegas
Oakmont has another 18 but it is public.  I'm not sure if members can play it as part of their membership or why they would want to.

Montclair in New Jersey has 36 holes.  Fairly unique set-up as well, rather than two eighteen hole courses Montclair has 4 nines that can be mixed and matched.  Three are Ross and one is Banks.

Patrick,

I didn't mention Upper Montclair and Edgewood because I was unaware they had more than 18 holes.
