In reference to Mr. Cole's thread -- it looks like just another example of the polarization caused by Tobacco Road. Even though it might not be walkable, I'll say I'm intrigued. I have friends who have hated TR, as well as others that loved it (like Ben Dewar). All I know os that I must see it when I head to NC later this year.
Either way, Mr. Stranz is an architect who has his own vision.
I've played True Blue and Caledonia in MB, and found both to be intriguing, but in very different ways.

I agree with the thought that when a golf course has long walks and obstacles that the walker has to use a cart path to get to the next point, it seems, the course really is not walkable.  Those who say that they find that TR was walkable should rexexamine what if they were not with a group of other walkers, and how long it was between shots.  I doubt if those who walked what was the length of your round.
Mr. Cole was accurate in his thought, but just picked the wrong course to use as an example.
Granted every course is walkabkle, but how REALISTIC is the walk.  Some walks are more enjoyable than others.
We have one course in Ohio, that provides a ski lift to the next hole for walkers, probably without this lift, those walker could walk up the cart path, but is it really a walkable golf course.
