Hello,
Wonderfully diverse discussion here about the worst hole played, created, or seen.
I'll not add to the flames by posting an opinion of my own, but I do wish to pose a thought about tournament conditions and their affect on a simple hole like the 18th at TOC.
Everyone quickly realizes that being " under the gun " is somthing that most of us golfwise have never felt..at least in regards to having the opportunity to play for the Claret Jug.
But, it seems to me that the 2 simple shots at the closing hole of the British Open would indeed take on a life all their own, and I for one would not be so sure that hole would be that easy..given the conditions. Though I realize that you ladies and gentlemen were not debating the merits of tournament pressure on a bad, or easy hole.
Just a thought...
