What's the "better" golf hole?

Approaching the 18th green at PV really is a bit of a unique shot (I can't think of another hole with a particularly similar approach).

The green is distinctly above the fairway and it appears to be a bit of a bowl shape sloping from left to right quite severely which causes balls to get off the green to the right side (and also long) and also to get well to the right side if the ball lands on the left of the green. if the correct direction is not "borrowed" to the left on the approach you will be quite surprised where your ball ends up. The green is also over 11,000sf! It takes some experience in the type of shot to play to this green and probably one of the most benefical things about this approach is to be able to play the shot with a high trajectory--not the easiest task from the cant of the fairway and the raised green with the front section basically kicking the ball forward and right. For even a Tour Pro with a short iron this approach might be somewhat of a "feel" shot probably taking care not to have the "spin" of his ball do too much to the shot.

The putting surface is all but blind from the fairway, although you can always see the flag it is a little hard to tell just where it is. If you get the ball on the wrong part of the green for the pin a 3 putt is not hard to do. There really isn't that much internal contour complexity to this green (ever since Crump's extraordinary midsection "pimple" was finally removed by John Arthur Brown many years ago) just an enormous semi-bowl like breaking affair and with some green speed it can be very hard to figure out and execute.

Because of this green the play from the tee should be as much distance as you can get to setup the shortest club possible in (again the higher trajectory shot really helps!!). Athough the fairway is very large and wide there is a bit more left to right kick to it than most golfers realize.

It would be interesting to me to know how far left they can set a pin on this hole. I don't think I can ever recall a pin much to the left of the center line on this hole. Maybe Mayor Ott can comment about that.
