Bucket List Golf for those with a generous heart
« on: July 19, 2014, 01:10:38 AM »
Folks,

Thought some of you might find this link of interest.  The American Cancer Society is having an event with a silent auction.  There is an opportunity to bid on the chance to play at over 30 courses, many in Chicago but all over the country,   Including:

Merion, Chicago Golf Club, Prairie Dunes, Kinloch, Inverness, Dallas National, Rich Harvest Farms, Calusa Pines, Ocean Forest, Crooked Stick, Evanston, Skokie Country Club, Kemper Lakes, Knollwood, Bull Valley, Edgewood Valley, Flossmoor, Hawthorn Woods, Twin Orchard, Ivanhoe, Lost Dunes, Reynolds Plantation, Atlanta Country Club, Atlanta Athletic Club, Open Hammock and Hammock Dunes, Firestone CC, Floridian, Colonial CC, Kingsley, Pilgrims Run and more.

There are some non golf items; including the much coveted Cubs tickets.

The link below gets you to the auction site.  Bidding ends on July 28th. Bid on a chance to play one of these great courses and support a great charity at the same time.

Thanks.

Steve

"The much coveted Cubs tickets."

Just the other day I was listening to Steve Goodman sing "The Dying Cubs Fan's Lament."

It can't be easy.   ;D

It's easy. Just cheer for the major league team in Chicago. The White Sox.

I'm usually on the lookout for silent auction 4somes, any good websites (other than one posted) that have golf foursomes on it for charity?  Love these because in the NY area can usually play pretty good courses and once take into account the tax savings ends up being what a round at some of the public ones are anyways.
